Heldi Chai High-protein blend for tea

A simple way to add a little more protein to your daily chai without changing the ritual.

Heldi Chai is made to fit seamlessly into the cup you already love. Each heaped teaspoon adds around 5g of protein per glass, along with the warmth of cardamom, ginger, cinnamon, and clove the same spices in any good masala chai, balanced to sit naturally with tea and milk.

The 5g serving is deliberate. Indian chai cups are small, and most people drink two or three across the day a cup with breakfast, one mid-morning, one in the afternoon. At 5g per cup, you're adding 10–15g of protein over the course of a day without ever drinking something that tastes like a protein shake. Push the dose much higher and the chai stops tasting like chai. Keeping it light per cup means the flavour stays where it should be, and the protein adds up across the cups you're already drinking.

Made with whey protein isolate and sunflower lecithin (8%) for clean dispersion in milk.

How to use

Whisk 1 heaped tsp of Heldi Chai into your milk first and stir until dissolved. You may see a few small white flecks — these don't affect the taste or texture of your finished cup. Then make your chai exactly the way you normally would.

Whichever way you make chai, the method is the same:

  • Tea bag method: Whisk the Heldi into your milk first. Pour the milk over your tea bag (or add the tea bag to the warmed milk), brew, and serve.
  • Pan / stovetop method: Whisk the Heldi into your cold milk first. Then add the milk to your pan with water, tea, sugar, and any extra spices and bring to a simmer as usual.

The one rule is that the Heldi goes into the milk first, before any heat. Once it's mixed in, carry on with chai as you'd always make it.
